Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group in The Woodlands, TX, seeks a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team. The role performs detailed fetal surveys, assists with procedures, and documents findings to support obstetric care in a high-risk setting.

The successful candidate will have ARDMS credentials, OB/GYN or FE certification, and experience in OB/GYN/MFM imaging. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to work across locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited sonography program with degree in ultrasonography or equivalent
• Maintain or be eligible for ARDMS certification
• ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo certification or eligible within 12 months
• Evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements
• NT experience or certification preferred
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets
• Assist physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
• Accurately document exam findings, measurements, images, and details in systems
• Record patient history, indications, and observations per protocols
• Generate clear initial reports for physician review and final signature
• Review studies with interpreting physicians to support diagnostic accuracy
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with policies and safety standards
• Assign procedure and indication codes to support reporting and billing
• Escort patients and families to the examination room and ensure comfort
• Prepare patients for examinations and verify identity/history
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance
• Obtain appropriate consent and/or declinations
• Maintain ultrasound equipment operation and address malfunctions
• Rotate to other locations to cover absences
• Perform related duties as directed
