Job summary

Pediatrix in Houston, TX is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team. The role involves performing detailed fetal anatomy surveys, assisting with procedures, and preparing reports for physician review in a high-risk obstetrics setting.

The ideal candidate will have ARDMS certification, OB/GYN or MFM ultrasound experience, and strong communication skills. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to rotate to different MFM clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited sonography program or equivalent with relevant training.
• Maintain ARDMS certification and OB/GYN or FE eligibility within 12 months.
• Evidence of continuing education credits to meet accreditation needs.
• NT experience or CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum six months OB/GYN/MFM ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys and acquire data for interpretation.
• Assist physicians with amniocentesis and CVS procedures.
• Document exam findings accurately in reporting systems.
• Record patient history and indications per protocols and regulations.
• Generate preliminary reports for physician review and final sign-off.
• Rotate to other locations to cover sonographer absences.
