Position Overview: A highly qualified Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician is sought to join a dedicated MFM division in Roanoke, Virginia. This academic role is within a well-established Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology affiliated with a medical school. The physician will engage in clinical care, teaching, and research, working closely with students and residents to foster the next generation of physicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized maternal and fetal care for high-risk pregnancies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OBGYNs, neonatologists, and specialists, for comprehensive patient management.
• Teach and mentor OBGYN residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical research to advance maternal-fetal medicine.
• Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging, ultrasound, and invasive diagnostic procedures.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited MFM fellowship.
• Strong interest in academic medicine, including teaching and research.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
