Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee and lead the Maternal Fetal Medicine service line, ensuring the highest quality of care for complex maternal-fetal cases.
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with high-risk pregnancies, including diagnostic, consultative, and management services. Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
- Program Development: Work with administrative and clinical leadership to develop and enhance the Maternal Fetal Medicine program. The Medical Director will be responsible for the assigned offices and programs in the West Michigan market, focusing on quality, service excellence, colleague engagement, stewardship, and financial goals.
- Education and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to medical students and residents.
Minimum qualifications:
- At least 5 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine medical practice experience (excluding training).
- 2+ years of leadership experience or completed training with relevant skills (highly preferred).
- Board Certified in OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- MI medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clean malpractice history (preferred).
On-call responsibilities: Shared with MFM Partner/Medical Director, primarily phone calls with hospital visits as needed.
