Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking maternal-fetal medicine physicians to join our offices in Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA. The role emphasizes collaboration with a skilled clinical team and a strong outpatient focus with some inpatient consultations.

You will perform complex OB/GYN care, lead ultrasound services, and participate in quality-improvement initiatives while delivering high-value women’s health services in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• MD license in MD/VA/DC strongly preferred.
• Board certification in OB/GYN and MFMs.
• Experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.
• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff including nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.
• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Participate actively in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.
• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).
• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

Education

Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology

Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Active Medical License in MD/VA/DC preferred

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
