Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking Part-Time Clinical Instructors to support our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Phoenix campus. The role focuses on Maternal-Child Nursing, teaching family-centered care, and promoting health promotion and wellness among student nurses.

The position emphasizes clinical teaching, supervision, and evaluation, with opportunities for didactic instruction under supervision. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at partner sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2+ years of nursing practice as a registered nurse within the last five years is required.
• Excellent communication skills with initiative and prudent judgment.
• Professional nursing licensure is required in the practice state.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession.
• Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care.
• Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students based on course objectives.
• Remains available for remediation of students as required or needed.
• Maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies and procedures with agency/clinical staff.
