• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Texas nursing license.
• At least two years of professional teaching experience within the last five years in nursing.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred but not required.
• Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College and community.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to individuals or groups.
• Makes self-available to staff at the agencies.
• Evaluates and provides feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
• Orients and maintains knowledge related to agency/clinical policies and expectations with agency personnel.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with student knowledge and learning needs.
• May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.
• Keeps course coordinator informed of student and agency issues and concerns.
• Works with administration, staff and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction.
