Job summary

Ceramex North America, a subsidiary of SRC Holdings Corporation, seeks a Materials & Warehouse Manager to oversee inventory from receipt to shipment. You will lead receiving, shipping, warehouse, materials, and inventory-control activities, ensuring ERP records match physical inventory and driving a no-error culture.

This hands-on leadership role requires prioritization, team development, and disciplined material processes to support production schedules and customer needs.

• Develop and enforce standard work for processes and mentor the team.

Job description

Position Summary

The Materials & Warehouse Manager is responsible for the accuracy, control, and movement of Ceramex inventory from receipt through shipment. This position leads receiving, shipping, warehouse, materials, and inventory-control activities while ensuring physical inventory and ERP records remain aligned. The role owns disciplined material processes, timely and accurate system transactions, new part and BOM setup, and the flow of core, new, remanufactured, and finished goods needed to support production and customers. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a self-starter who can prioritize effectively, hold processes together, develop the team, and drive a no-error culture.

Core Functions

• Lead Receiving, Shipping, Warehouse, Materials and Inventory Control activities.
• Maintain accurate physical and system inventory through disciplined ERP transactions, audits and cycle counts.
• Own the setup and launch of new parts, item masters, routings/material requirements as applicable, and Bills of Material (BOMs) in the ERP system.
• Ensure timely material availability and movement to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Lead, train and hold the warehouse/materials team accountable to standard processes with a focus on zero errors.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics and freight requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Engineering, Quality and Finance to maintain accurate material and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate employees and processes for receiving, stocking, material handling, picking, packing, shipping and warehouse organization.
• Own inventory accuracy both physically and systematically; investigate variances, determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and execute weekly cycle counts, monthly inventory audits/reconciliations and annual physical inventory; document results and ensure adjustments are accurate and approved.
• Ensure all receipts, transfers, issues, returns, finished-goods transactions, core movements, scrap transactions and shipments are completed accurately and timely in the ERP system.
• Create, maintain and validate item master data and Bills of Material (BOMs) for new part launches and changes. Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to ensure system setup is complete before production launch.
• Maintain a constant, controlled flow of materials to Operations and finished goods to customers while supporting inventory targets and financial goals.
• Manage incoming and outgoing freight and logistics, including carrier coordination, scheduling and issue resolution.
• Monitor shortages, aging inventory, core availability and inventory levels; communicate risks early and take action to prevent production or customer disruption.
• Develop, document, train and enforce standard work for receiving, shipping, warehouse and inventory processes. Audit adherence and correct process breakdowns immediately.
• Lead the team through clear expectations, daily prioritization, coaching, cross-training and accountability. Conduct performance evaluations and support recruiting and retention as needed.
• Track and report key performance indicators for inventory accuracy, cycle-count completion, shipping/receiving accuracy, on-time material flow and other departmental goals.
• Partner with purchasing and suppliers as needed to support material availability, order accuracy and delivery performance.
