Job summary

IEM is seeking a Materials Manager for our Jacksonville, FL location to oversee warehouse operations and the flow of materials from receipt to production support and final shipment. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Designing, implementing and managing lean warehouse and material replenishment systems (kanban)
  • Hands-on leader who can direct daily warehouse and material flow activities while building team engagement
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and materials planning (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor Syteline)
  • Certifications optional but beneficial: CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control and accuracy over all inventories (raw material, WIP, finished goods), including material transactions, warehouse operations, and receiving activities.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure all components and materials are delivered to support the production process.
  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, storage, and delivery to point of use to ensure efficient and accurate material flow.
  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to inventory control, material flow, and warehouse processes.
  • Support production scheduling activities by monitoring material availability, tracking production progress, and identifying potential constraints.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Manager to implement, and manage systems to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Manager to resolve vendor return material authorizations in a manner which supports the production schedule.
  • Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against future inconsistencies.
  • Participate as a member of the operations team in making cross‑functional operational decisions.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
