Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Materials Training and Operations Leader in the United States to standardize processes and optimize materials management. The role serves as the ERP SME, driving training, SOP development, and root-cause analysis to improve planning accuracy.

You will collaborate with IT and Global Process Authority, align local practices with global standards, and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment to ensure operational excellence in materials planning and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Associate's Degree with 9+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience: 7+ years in supply chain, materials management, or procurement.
• Systems Expertise: Mastery of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and materials process logic.
• Leadership/Training: Ability to create training materials and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving with translating complex system issues into actionable solutions.
• Communication: Excellent technical writing skills for SOP development and conveying complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute 30/60/90-day training milestones for MRPs, Buyers, and materials staff.
• Train team on ERP systems, procurement/planning practices, and inventory management strategies.
• Identify knowledge gaps and coach to improve performance and accuracy.
• Lead SOP development and maintenance for core materials processes with stakeholders.
• Perform gap analyses and create new processes; manage control plans.
• Partner with IT and Global Process Authority to align local and global standards.
• Provide system support and root-cause analysis for discrepancies and bottlenecks.
