Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Materials Manager for the Generator Assembly COE to lead end-to-end materials processes and drive continuous improvement. The role partners with operations to meet on-time delivery while reducing inventory and improving material flow.

You will manage materials planning, procurement, production control, and inventory, with a focus on delivering cost-efficient, reliable supply. The role requires leadership across functions and strong data analytics to improve KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field from an accredited university.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• SAP experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning, procurement requirements, production control and inventory control.
• Ensures standard materials processes and KPIs are used to minimize inventory cost.
• Implement LEAN material practices and standards.
• Support the SIOP & S&OE processes: contribute to procurement timing, order release requirements, available capacity, and lead-times.
• Lead capacity requirements planning (CRP) by gathering and loading information into planning tools and providing updates.
• Ensure master and production schedules are synchronized using ERP (PMx) and other tools; ensure training for planning tools.
• Report and monitor COE materials KPIs: on-time to promise, on-time to need, system health, master data adherence, inventory balance and turns.
• Lead and monitor all logistics activities: incoming receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy, shortages.
• Demonstrate leadership in communicating goals/processes and solving problems.
