Job summary

Advanced Infrastructure Design Inc. is seeking a Materials Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure construction projects across New Jersey and nearby regions. The role involves hands-on field and lab work, focusing on quality and long-term technical growth in construction materials inspection.

Candidates with prior construction or inspection experience are encouraged. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field and lab testing experience preferred.
• Experience with asphalt/concrete operations is a plus.
• Certifications such as ACI, NJSAT, NICET, or NJDOT are a plus, not required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
• Ability to document test results and communicate with engineers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection and testing of asphalt, concrete, soils, and aggregates.
• Conduct roadway and plant inspections in accordance with project requirements.
• Assist with sampling, density testing, and coring coordination as needed.
• Accurately document test results, field observations, and daily reports.
• Communicate findings clearly with project engineers, project managers, and laboratory staff.
• Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific procedures.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on active construction sites.
