Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager to join our Baton Rouge field services team, supporting project coordination, technical analysis, and reporting. This office- and field-based role assists with budgeting, invoicing, proposals, and documentation while developing your CMT knowledge and client service skills within ECS's professional engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil-related field required or equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
• Willingness to learn CMT principles and ASTM testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supports management of CMT projects, reviewing daily field reports and assisting with issue resolution.
• Assists with budgeting, invoicing, change orders, and collection efforts.
• Supports preparation of proposals and project documentation.
• Performs or assists with laboratory testing, soil classification, and materials evaluation.
• Supports testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, fireproofing, and asphalt.
• Reviews field reports and documents project data.
• Trains and coordinates field staff on assigned projects.
• Performs task-based work across project lifecycle from proposal to closeout.
• Communicates with project teams, contractors, and field personnel.
