Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a laboratory technician to plan, coordinate, and perform raw material and finished product testing, including sampling and mechanical tests, to determine standards of performance against specifications.

You will set up testing devices, record data, produce technical reports, support safety programs, and liaise with production and sourcing to resolve on‑floor issues while maintaining accurate records and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytical or QA laboratory environments is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow complex procedures and document results.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up mechanical and electrical testing devices to analyze materials.
• Operate testing devices and record data, noting deviations.
• Support safety programs and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform routine and non-routine testing on materials and products.
• Prepare COAs and BLOs for shipment.
• Generate technical reports of results.
• Aid trials on new materials or processes.
• Maintain lab equipment and records.
• Interface with production and sourcing to resolve on-floor issues.
• Test raw materials for compliance with specifications.
