Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ is seeking a Materials Technician on a PRN / Per Diem schedule. Hours are 8 AM to 4 PM, weekdays and weekends, with compensation at $21.00 hourly.

You would assist the Materials Manager with purchasing and delivering supplies, inspect deliveries for damage, and maintain the MSDS manual to ensure accurate stocking and safety in the Stores area. Our hospital is dedicated to compassionate care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of storeroom/shipping and receiving experience preferred.

Schedule: PRN / Per Diem 8AM - 4PM (weekday and weekends)

Compensation: $21.00 hourly

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

As a Material Technician, you would provide support to the Materials Manager to ensure efficiency of service. Assists with the purchase and delivery of supplies, equipment, and services upon receipt of properly executed paperwork.

• Assists the Materials Manager in the departmental operations.
• Receives all deliveries and inspects items for damage or defects. Verifies the completeness and accuracy of all deliveries and alerts the departments (buyers) of any discrepancies.
• Maintains an updated Material Safety Data Sheet manual of items handled through and stocked in Stores.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of previous storeroom/shipping and receiving experience preferred
