Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Materials Technician on a Per Diem schedule at 1199 Pleasant Valley Way. Responsibilities include assisting the Materials Manager, receiving deliveries, and maintaining MSDS records.

Weekend coverage is required with potential weekday support based on needs. The role offers orientation, potential for advancement, and a pathway to full-time opportunities; compensation is $21.00 hourly with benefits eligibility for part-time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years storeroom/shipping and receiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Materials Manager in the departmental operations.
• Receives all deliveries and inspects items for damage or defects. Verifies completeness and accuracy of all deliveries and alerts the departments (buyers) of any discrepancies.
• Maintains updated Material Safety Data Sheet manual of items handled through and stocked in Stores.

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN: 2 weekends a month Saturday & Sunday 7-3 or 8-4 (weekday coverage as needed)

Compensation: $21.00 hourly
