Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital San Antonio Inc. is seeking a Materials Technician in Weirton, WV to support daily inventory, stocking, and invoice processing.

This PRN/Per Diem role involves handling hospital supplies, managing purchases, and ensuring accurate ledger coding while contributing to efficient facility operations. The position requires basic computer skills and experience in a hospital materials environment is preferred; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and 10 key are required.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Materials Tech are preferred.
• Experience in Materials and Central Supplies within a hospital is preferred.
• Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock daily supplies and process daily deliveries.
• Review and restock daily supplies in nursing stations below par level.
• Receive all facility supplies and note amounts on purchase orders.
• Handle inventory, rotate inventory and maintain adequate levels.
• Review invoices and reconcile to packing slips and purchase orders.
• Verify invoice charges and code lines to general ledger accounts.

• Stocking needed daily supplies and processing daily deliveries.
• Other duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting daily charge data, entering and logging all charges for each department, ordering supplies, ordering and returning rental equipment, submitting invoices and moving equipment.
• Reviewing and restocking daily supplies in the nursing stations that are below par level.
• Receiving all facility supplies and making notations of the received amounts on the purchase orders.
• Handling inventory appropriately, rotating inventory continually and maintaining adequate inventory levels.
• Reviewing all invoices and reconciling invoices to packing slips and purchase orders.
• Verifying invoice charges for ordered and agreed rates.
• Coding invoice line items with general ledger accounts; maintaining and reconciling all incomplete purchase orders to invoices.
• Verifying all approval signatures per policies prior to processing invoices.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and 10 key is required.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience as a Materials Tech is preferred.
• Experience in Materials and Central Supplies within a hospital preferred.
• Associate's degree preferred.
