Job summary

Deringer--ney-Inc. is seeking a Materials Technician in Bloomfield, CT to operate metallurgical testing equipment and support the production team in fabricating high-quality materials.

You will validate conformance to standards using tensile, metallography, and Eddy Current testing and collaborate with machinists daily. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of manufacturing experience, basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read work instructions

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
• At least 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Basic mechanical and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate metallurgical testing equipment to confirm product conformance.
• Safely operate metal-forming machines with other operators.
• Handle hazardous chemicals with proper PPE and guidelines.
• Use routing instructions with precision equipment to fabricate high-quality materials.
• Collaborate with Production Control to meet on-time deliveries.
• Follow company policies and quality standards; document work.
• Support a team environment and communicate any non-conformances.
• Train and operate additional mill equipment as directed by supervision.
