Job summary

Stryker in Arlington, TX is seeking a Materials/Inventory Associate to support the Materials Manager on the production floor, ensuring accurate material flow and on-time delivery of components. This role emphasizes FIFO, GMP/GDP compliance, and cross-functional coordination.

You will perform cycle counts, assist with ERP transactions, and participate in lean initiatives to improve space utilization and line-side efficiency. Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm, onsite, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years relevant work experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to influence team performance and contribute to production targets.
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material availability, staging, and delivery to support uninterrupted production and minimize downtime.
• Promote inventory accuracy by supporting material movements, ERP transactions, and work order processes (backflushing, transfers, scrap, completions).
• Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis while supporting cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit activities.
• Leverage material usage trends and production demand insights to optimize stocking strategies and align inventory with production plans.
• Reinforce proper material handling, storage practices, FIFO, and GMP/GDP traceability requirements.
• Serve as a cross-functional point of coordination between materials, production, planning, warehouse, and quality teams.
• Support the training and development of the Materials team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to process improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance material flow and line-side efficiency.

What you will do:

In this role, you will support the Materials Manager in coordinating daily material operations on the production floor, ensuring accurate material flow, inventory integrity, and timely delivery of components to support production schedules and operational needs. This role focuses on maintaining efficient material movement, supporting quality standards, and enabling production teams to meet safety, delivery, and cost objectives.

What you need:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience, which can include manufacturing, distribution, or logistics experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence team performance and contribute to achieving production targets.
• Proven experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and reconciliation, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
• Six (6) plus years of manufacturing, distribution, or logistics experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE), including inventory transactions, material movements, and production-related processes.

$32.10/hr plus bonus potential and benefits.
