Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our on-site team in Portage, NY. You will assemble components, sub-assemblies and electrical parts, following instructions and maintaining quality documentation. This role involves using various tools, meeting production targets, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

HS/GED and manufacturing experience preferred. Work hours are 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with overtime on 2 Saturdays per month; pay is $20.25/hr plus bonus eligibility and

Responsibilities

• Assemble components including sub-assemblies, manual and electrical components.
• Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for product lines.
• Follow process work instructions and test procedures; document results to meet quality requirements.
• Meet production build rates, schedules and cycle times.
• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other devices.
• Use tools including hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses and measuring/cutting devices.
• Set up, prep, clean up and ensure quality of own work and area.
• Meet schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
• Lift/carry 10-50 lbs frequently; may lift 50-75 lbs rarely.

Work Flexibility: Onsite

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday- Friday, 5:45am-2:15pm, OT 2 Saturdays per month

What you will do:

• Under general supervision, assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products

• Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines

• Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements

• Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times

• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required

• Uses a variety of tools that may include, but are not limited to: manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices

• Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area

• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends

• Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
