Job summary

Salinas Valley Health in Salinas, CA, is looking for a Warehouse/Distribution Associate to join the Supply Chain - Distribution team. You will receive, stock, and distribute equipment and supplies to support hospital operations, and perform routine inventory tasks.

The role requires 2–3 years' related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and on-the-job training is provided. The position offers a day shift and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Two to three years' experience in a similar warehouse or supply environment preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and stock rotation processes.
• Ability to use the materials management system effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive, deliver, check and stock equipment and supplies.
• Conduct inventories and compile related reports.
• Fulfils internal supply requisitions to support departments.
• Stock, rotate, and note expiration dates of items.
• Inform relevant staff of low stock items and expirations.
• Assist with packing/unpacking and distribution duties.
• Answer phones and perform related tasks as required.

Department:

Supply Chain - Distribution

Works under the direction of Management. As directed, receives, delivers, checks and stocks equipment and supplies, conducts inventories and fills internal supply requisitions to assist in the reception and distribution of equipment and supplies in the warehouse and all par level areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Checks delivered equipment and supplies for completeness of orders, damage, accuracy, etc., notes discrepancies and informs appropriate personnel.
• Delivers and picks up equipment and supplies to and from appropriate departments; packs and unpacks equipment and supplies.
• Stocks, rotates stock, notes expiration dates; informs others of low stock items or items that will expire prior to use both in the warehouse and all par level areas.
• Conducts inventories and compiles related reports both in the warehouse and all par level areas.
• Fills internal supply requisitions from departments.
• Counts/fills all par level areas.
• Runs stats and routine orders as ordered through the materials management system.
• Stickers products with charge labels.
• Answers telephone as needed.
• Performs related duties such as special assignments and assisting others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Work requires knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED. One (1) to two (2) months on-the-job training and orientation.

Licensure: None.

Experience: Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in same or similar field preferred.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.08 - $36.41. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
