You'll play a key role in resolving operational challenges and driving continuous improvements that directly impact patient care delivery.

** PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Master Logistics Coordination: Partner with major freight carriers (Federal Express, Airborne, UPS, Emery, and others) to arrange efficient pick-ups and manage shipping arrangements that keep our operations on schedule.
  • Ensure Quality & Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections of all parcels to verify proper preparation according to security protocols, hazardous materials standards, and shipping requirements—including correct addressing and labeling.
  • Drive Efficient Supply Delivery: Deliver supplies to patient care areas with precision, accuracy, and punctuality, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Maintain Inventory Excellence: Monitor and maintain optimal supply levels across all patient care areas while upholding strict sterility and infection control standards that protect patient safety.
  • Optimize Supply Management Systems: Utilize hand-held computers to download, upload, and manage orders through our inventory system, ensuring adequate stock levels and coordinating special orders for non-prime vendor supplies.
  • Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Clean, maintain, and organize supply carts and equipment to professional standards, making it easy for staff to locate what they need. Apply appropriate cleaning protocols and PPE knowledge to maintain safety standards.
  • Control Costs & Accuracy: Collect and batch patient charge cards daily, manage inventory fluctuations, and report variances to coordinators for evaluation with nursing managers.
  • Execute Priority Deliveries: Respond promptly to STAT and routine orders through patient charging systems, ensuring critical items reach their destinations without delay.
  • Receive & Distribute Stock: Check incoming supplies, verify item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and delivery locations, then distribute stock to proper locations with documented signatures for accountability.
  • Solve Problems Proactively: Address routine departmental issues and challenges, escalating complex problems to supervisors while contributing ideas for process improvements and waste reduction.
  • Support Administrative Operations: Sort and route mail efficiently, perform general maintenance on copiers (toner, staples, paper ordering), and keep operations organized.
