Job summary

Mack Molding Company is seeking a Materials Manager to lead the plant's materials functions, including production control, purchasing and inventory control. This role ensures alignment of materials planning with customer requirements, manufacturing priorities and financial goals.

The successful candidate will provide direction to the materials team, support on-time delivery and quality performance, and maintain accurate sales, inventory and capacity projections across the site.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing management or materials management.
• Experience with MRP systems and shop floor control, as well as MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead plant staff position in the absence of the Plant Manager.
• Interact with the Business Unit to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of the Production Control Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Inventory Control Manager to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction through on-time shipments and outstanding quality.
• Plan and control manufacturing costs to meet P&L budgets.
• Provide direction and support to all materials personnel; identify training needs and coordinate training and development objectives for materials personnel.
• Maintain monthly and quarterly sales figures and projections.
• Own monthly inventory reports and balances.
• Calculate projections for labor and capacity requirements.
• Maintain ISO compliance through the use and understanding of Mack ISO policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; hold all employees accountable for safety.
• Maintain Mack's standard of housekeeping in all areas.
• Perform all other duties necessitated by changing business conditions.
