Job summary

Marvel Refrigeration, part of Composition Brands, is hiring a Director of Materials in Greenville, Michigan to lead materials, inventory, purchasing and supplier performance.

The role partners with Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Sales to align materials strategy with business goals, improve forecasting, reduce costs, and ensure timely availability of materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of materials or supply chain leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, forecasting, planning.
• Experience with ERP and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory management and materials planning activities.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and reduce excess/obsolete materials.
• Guide product line transitions and engineering changes.
• Develop strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to improve demand forecasting.
• Align purchasing with production schedules.
• Perform cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership.
