Job summary

Consumers Energy in Michigan seeks a Director of Material Operations to lead the strategic and operational management of warehousing, inventory, material control, and logistics within Supply Chain. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with ten or more years of experience in operations, warehousing, logistics, material management, or a similar field.
• Associate degree with twelve or more years of experience in operations, warehousing, logistics, material management, or a similar field.
• High school diploma or GED with fourteen or more years of experience in operations, warehousing, logistics, material management, or a similar field.

Responsibilities

• Balance working capital by tracking productivity metrics for materials and labor.
• Provide guidance and collaborate with Labor Relations and union leadership.
• Oversee enterprise-wide material strategies to ensure material availability and efficiency.
• Partner with Engineering, Field Operations, Scheduling, and Supply Chain teams to prevent delays.
• Drive digital system adoption and SAP transaction accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned.
