Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to meet production goals. You will supervise production control, inventory, shipping/receiving, and stores, ensuring on-time deliveries with optimal stock levels.

Strong collaboration with purchasing and operations is required. Candidate should have excellent communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office; an MBA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to plan, organize and execute materials management tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the company.
• MBA holder preferred but not mandatory for consideration.

• Responsible for the materials management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives
• Directing and administering production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials stores
• Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries
• Supervises year-end physical inventory and maintains perpetual inventory system
• Coordinates with purchasing department for scheduling deliveries according to operational requirements

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills via written and oral
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Access, etc.
• MBA is desirable
