Job summary

UCLA is seeking a detail-oriented Stores Worker for the Materiel Management department. You will apply organizational and material-handling skills to support warehousing, storage, and distribution of tools and equipment across campus, including urgent and routine needs.

The position requires basic computer skills, reading and writing English, and the ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using; e-mail, Word, Excel, and Maximo. (Required)
• Ability to read and write basic English and perform. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. (Required)
• Perform basic mathematical calculations. (Required)
• Ability to drive stick shift and 2-ton vehicles. (Required)
• Skill in using specialized equipment: forklift, pallet jack. (Required)
• Ability to respond to changing priorities. (Required)
• Ability to work various shifts when required. (Required)
• Knowledge of inventory technique. (Preferred)
• Ability to interact cooperatively with Facilities Management Department units as well as Purchasing, Warehouse and Stores staff, and vendors. (Required)
• Ability to work effectively with interruptions. (Required)
• Ability to maintain good attendance as prescribed by Department needs. (Required)
• Ability to maintain accurate records. (Required)

Responsibilities

• Support warehousing operations by receiving, storing and distributing inventory.
• Maintain accurate records and inventories for projects and emergencies.
• Coordinate with campus departments and vendors as needed.
• Assist in procurement and receiving processes and urgent orders.
