Job summary

Gestamp is seeking a Materials Team Leader for the 2nd shift in McCalla, Alabama, to oversee the shipping of finished assemblies to Mercedes-Benz and other customers.

The role requires coordinating daily shipping activities, using MAPICS and Future 3, ensuring on-time deliveries, and reporting to the Materials Group Leader. Strong SAP experience and 1–2 years of manufacturing exposure are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience; manufacturing experience preferred in tier 1 or 2.
• SAP manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with PC-based systems including Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical and math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all associates.
• Coordinate part and quantity shipments using Ship Tracking Report.
• Work overtime as required and with short notice.
• Prepare shipping docs, ASN, labels, and system updates.
• Deliver Finished Assemblies to Mercedes-Benz, Vance AL.
• Maintain 100% accuracy of shipments to the customer.
• Support continuous improvement of shipping operations.
• Perform related shipping tasks as directed by leadership.
