Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, and distribute raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Support production by picking/staging materials for assembly and welding.
• Maintain inventory records and perform transactions.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.
• Prepare shipments and coordinate with freight carriers.
• Generate shipping documents and bills of lading.
• Fill in for Shipping & Logistics Specialist as needed.

This is a temporary position with potential for full-time. The successful candidate will be referred to Remedy Staffing Services.

The Materials & Shipping Associate is responsible for the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are accurately received, properly stored, delivered to production areas, and shipped to customers in a timely manner. The position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and efficient material flow throughout the facility.

• Receive, move, store, and distribute raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Support production by picking/staging materials for assembly and welding.
• Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
• Prepare customer shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with freight carriers and parcel services.
• Generate and maintain shipping documents, including packing slips and bills of lading.
• Fill in for Shipping & Logistics Specialist in his/her absence

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain preferred.
• Experience with freight carriers, small parcel shipping (UPS, FedEx, DHL), and local courier services.
• Forklift experience and certification preferred or ability to become certified.
• Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
