Jamestown Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Materials Services Clerk to support the distribution of supplies and equipment for patient care and hospital departments.

Qualifications

• High school level of education preferred.
• 1–3 months related work experience required; healthcare setting preferred.
• Punctual and regular attendance is essential.
• Ability to review, evaluate, and verify inventory and distribution records.
• Independent judgment in line with JRMC policies.
• Cooperative work with coworkers and other hospital staff.
• Trains staff on inventory procedures and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and expirations.
• Background check required.
• No formal line of promotion.

Responsabilités

• Receive equipment and supplies from carriers and move to storeroom.
• Inspect deliveries for damage; document issues.
• Notify buyers of discrepancies and needed supplies.
• Fill requisitions and deliver supplies to departments.
• Replenish and rotate supplies on par carts at established levels.
• Scan barcodes for billing of chargeable supplies.
• Maintain par carts and adjust for back orders or changes.
• Order bins and supplies for 2-bin system throughout facility.
• Clean par carts and check for expirations every 6 months.
• Check crash carts for outdated stock monthly.
• Answer calls from nursing units for immediate needs.
• Perform cycle counting for JRMC Storeroom.
• Check storeroom items for expiration dates.
• Post outgoing hospital mail.
• Assist Sterile Processing with processing, storage, and distribution as needed.
• Cross-train to assist buyer during vacations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
