Formlabs is seeking a Materials Scientist to advance revolutionary materials for 3D printing. You will drive research from concept through validation, aligning with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless printer compatibility.

Applicants should hold BS/MS/PhD in a relevant field, enjoy rigorous experimentation, and be comfortable sharing results and documentation across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in a relevant science/engineering field.
• Experience developing materials for 3D printing is a plus.
• Strong experimental design and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop world-class materials for 3D printing from lab explorations to validation and commercialization.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure materials print reliably on our printers.
• Design and perform experiments; use results to drive material performance improvements.
• Partner with product management and engineers to continuously improve materials.
