Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory's Sigma Division seeks disciplined technicians to contribute to fundamental and applied materials research. You will fabricate components, process materials, and support metallurgical applications while working in gloveboxes and high temperature furnaces.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree plus hands-on experience in fabrication, finishing, and analysis; familiarity with Creo/SolidWorks/Catia and LabVIEW is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on metal fabrication, finishing and materials characterization experience.
• Experience with software or analysis tools (Creo/SolidWorks/Catia, LabVIEW or similar).
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication skills.
• Proximity to handling sensitive materials and understanding safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on fabrication and finishing of metal components.
• Operate and interpret instrumentation, collect data, and document results.
• Collaborate with teams across the division to support programs.
• Possess ability to lift 30+ pounds and travel as required.
