The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, corrosion and coolant chemistry expertise, and anchoring decisions with analytical measurements (ICP-OES, HPLC, IC, MS). Austin, TX based.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in materials engineering, chemistry, or related field; hands-on laboratory experience required.
• Strong knowledge of metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, and fluids; materials properties and failure mechanisms.
• Expertise in corrosion science, coolant chemistry, fluid-material compatibility, coatings, and surface treatment technologies.
• Proficiency in two or more analytical techniques including Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy, Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, or Mass Spectrometry.
• Experience in materials characterization, root cause investigations, and data-driven failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new materials for computer hardware with a focus on liquid cooling systems; hands-on characterization, testing, and analysis.
• Serve as SME on analytical instrumentation and guide analytical method development and results interpretation.
• Lead and support failure analysis and product qualification activities; identify root causes and improve material and system performance.
