Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Receiving & Incoming Inspection Lead to manage daily material receiving and inspection with direct supervisory responsibility for a team. You will ensure purchased materials are received, inspected, and released to inventory or production in a timely manner.

You will partner with Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, audit-ready workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, incoming inspection, inventory control, or manufacturing quality.
• Experience supervising hourly or technical personnel with coaching and performance management.
• Ability to interpret purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions.
• Experience using ERP systems for receiving and inventory transactions.
• Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measurement equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, identification, counting, and verification of purchased materials.
• Ensure ERP transactions are accurate and complete.
• Resolve shortages, overages, and discrepancies with Procurement and suppliers.
• Coordinate movement of accepted material to inventory, kitting, or production.
• Lead daily reviews of receiving and inspection queues, aging material, shortages, and production-critical receipts.
• Improve receiving-to-stock cycle time while maintaining traceability.
• Standardize work instructions and transaction practices.
• Support supplier corrective actions with defect records and inspection evidence.
