Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks a QC Technician 1B to perform quality control testing on aggregates, asphalt, and related materials, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer specs. You will collect samples, conduct field and lab tests, and communicate results to operations.

The role requires organization, accuracy, and ability to work outdoors and travel to plants or sites as needed. High school diploma or GED and technical training preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have basic understanding of quality control principles and testing procedures.
• Ability to follow standardized testing methods and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collect material samples from plants, stockpiles, job sites, and production facilities.
• Perform laboratory and field testing on aggregates, asphalt mixtures, and other construction materials.
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor product quality and notify supervisors of non-conforming materials or test results.
• Assist with calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory/testing equipment.
• Maintain testing records and quality documentation.
• Travel to plants and project sites as needed to perform testing and inspections.
