Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to sample and perform routine laboratory testing of aggregate materials at the Woodbine Quarry. You will use prescribed standards to determine gradational and physical characteristics for quality control and ensure conformity to specifications.

The role involves operating lab equipment, collecting samples from conveyors and stockpiles, and reporting results to management and customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• State certification for aggregate, material testing, or lab testing required.
• MODOT certification preferred or required.
• At least 2 years QC experience in aggregate, soils, or construction.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment.
• Collect samples from conveyors, stockpiles, and job sites.
• Record test results in AggQC or standardized forms.
• Report results to management, DOT, and customers as required.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Inspect stockpiles for loadout procedures.
• Assist in investigating and resolving plant process controls related to product specs.
• Maintain MODOT Certified Aggregate Technician training.
