Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Rialto, CA is seeking a Materials QA/QC Technician to act as the quality voice in a fast-moving precast operation. You will validate that each pipe meets project standards while coaching operators and coordinating test reports.

You will verify overnight fabrication, pull aggregate samples, prepare bar specimens, and document test results. This hands-on role requires lab work, data entry, and daily prioritization with supervision.

Qualifications

• ACI Field Grade 1 certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Background in QA or Production within a related industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with concrete technology, welding, and NDE/NDT is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish capability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all aspects of quality under the supervision and direction of the supervisor.
• Complete and maintain steel tensile, aggregate, and joint assembly test reports.
• Compile production fabrication, testing, and inspection documentation.
• Assist Production personnel carrying quality control duties.
• Ensure compliance with any additional or special QA procedures required by project specs.
• Pitch in on other tasks as assigned.
