Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a Supervisor of Materials (Purchasing) to oversee inventory maintenance, forecasting, and accuracy. The role interfaces with molding, assembly, QA, shipping/receiving, engineering, production control, and accounting to ensure timely inventory records and availability for production.

You will coordinate, order, and gather purchase orders to keep materials ready for production. The position requires supervisory experience, inventory/purchasing background, and experience

Qualifications

• High school graduate with 2+ years of inventory experience.
• 1 year experience in purchasing or similar field.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from limited options.
• Wonderlic Select Assessment: minimum 50 score (traditional 20 cognitive).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs Materials Coordinators and Purchasing staff.
• Coordinates, orders, and gathers purchase orders to ensure materials are available for production.
• Expedites orders and maintains purchasing records and documents.
• Maintains raw material files and records; processes receiving slips and invoices.
• Prepares correspondence to adjust or improve terms, bids, and purchase orders.
• Works with cost accounting to verify daily, weekly, and monthly inventory records.
