The ideal candidate has a business-related degree or equivalent purchasing experience, familiarity with CMS/AS400 ERP, and demonstrates strong data entry and communication skills. This is a non-exempt, full-time position reporting to the Manager, Materials.

Qualifications

• Business degree or related field, or 2 years equivalent purchasing experience.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong data entry and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchase orders with accurate pricing and terms and communicate those terms to vendors.
• Identify changes to purchase orders and communicate those changes to vendors.
• Place daily orders of purchased parts and raw materials to assigned vendors.
• Distribute forecasts to vendors per schedule.
• Perform inventory analysis and recommend adjustments.
• Enter received parts into the electronic system daily.
• Track inbound shipments to meet manufacturing needs.
• Report non-conforming deliveries and coordinate corrective actions.
• Escalate vendor issues to appropriate personnel and assist in resolutions.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to prevent supply issues for daily releases.
• Coordinate all new program or launch purchases to meet requirements.
• Maintain target inventory levels per corporate goals.
• Ensure vendors meet packaging and labeling requirements per manual.
• Other duties as assigned.
