Responsibilities
- Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. Provides input to outsourcing decisions by performing make versus buy analysis. Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
- Forms Materials Core Team and coordinates product development process deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control. Collaborates with engineering team to interpret engineering requirements.
- Creates, releases, and updates project materials strategy under supervision.
- Sourcing: Assists in supplier negotiations, utilizes preferred supplier selection, completes risk assessments, and monitors supplier performance.
- Coordinates source selection activities, specification creation, and price negotiations.
- Executes commercialization (transition) materials plan.
- Manages materials change control, meets cost objectives, resolves quality issues, and tracks KPIs and landed costs.
- Works with engineering to identify critical parts, long-lead items, and inspection requirements; supports value analysis and Should Cost analysis.
- Partners with quality and engineering to resolve supplier quality issues, escalating when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-10 years of work experience

Additional Details
- Location: United States, shift: 10-day 8-hour, no relocation assistance
- Salary range: $88,000 - $121,000
