Job summary

Filtration Group in Chicopee, MA seeks a Product Development Intern to support new product development and continuous improvement of cleanroom wipes used in pharmaceutical and biomedical device manufacturing. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from Textiles, Material Science, or Polymer Science program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of nonwoven/textile materials manufacturing (coursework acceptable).
• Knowledge of or experience with material characterization techniques.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word and Teams preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication across functions and with external partners.
• Ability to follow site safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain engineering BOMs, coordinating with Production.
• Refine material specifications with input from Quality, Production & Purchasing.
• Coordinate with 3rd party labs for new product development testing.
• Participate in team meetings and suggest process improvements.
• Improve sample library and organize materials.
• Support cost optimization while maintaining quality, safety, and performance.
• Attend material sourcing meetings with the Product Development Manager.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
