Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Materials and Processes Engineer to lead metallic materials and manufacturing processes for spacecraft hardware. You will define material requirements, run analyses, and drive test campaigns to qualify flight hardware as we scale production.

Responsibilities include owning material specifications, supporting design decisions, and coordinating lab testing and supplier qualifications to ensure compliance and performance across the product line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, physics, aerospace, or relevant engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in materials science/engineering.
• Experience with qualifying aerospace metallics (aluminum, titanium, etc.).
• Strong analytical, communication, and multi-project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own material selection, qualification, process requirements, and design guidance for aerospace metallics.
• Develop and maintain metallic materials and processes specifications and supplier controls.
• Support engineering requirements to select parts, materials, and manufacturing technologies.
• Assist in supplier qualification and respond to routine technical inquiries.
• Coordinate lab activities and compile test data for interpretation.
