Job summary

Leidos Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Branch Manager for Materials & Processes Engineering within the Advanced Materials & Test Division. You will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering engineering solutions across manufacturing, development, and qualification activities.

You will drive strategy, mentor staff, and collaborate with internal customers to meet program and business goals, while ensuring safety and high- quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in a relevant engineering field (Materials/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical/Aerospace).
• Total experience: BS 12+, MS 10+, or PhD 8+ years.
• Experience in project management including cost, schedule, and technical direction.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams; 3+ years direct personnel management incl hiring and development.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead the Materials and Process Engineering roadmap for the Advanced Materials & Test Division.
• Engage with other divisions to understand needs and connect with M&P support.
• Forecast future M&P needs and position branch capabilities ahead of demand.
• Oversee in-lab and production-floor process development, scale-up, and qualification activities.
