Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Manhattan Beach, CA, is seeking a Materials and Process Engineer at Level 3 or Level 4 to join the Space Sector on onsite basis. You will work with PWBs, lead cross‑functional teams, and ensure fabricability and qualification of PWBs for high‑reliability applications.

The role requires a STEM degree with multiple years of experience, ability to obtain U.S. Government Top‑Secret clearance, and strong knowledge of M&P, PWBs, and IPC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required for Level 3 or 4; advanced degrees preferred for higher levels.
• Broad knowledge of materials & processes used in PWBs.
• Experience with materials selection, drawings and PWB qualifications.
• Familiarity with IPC standards IPC-6012/6013/6018 and IPC-6011/6012.

Responsibilities

• Oversee M&P used in the design and fabrication of High-Reliability PWBs.
• Review test reports for IPC compliance and internal requirements.
• Lead design reviews, vendor qualification, failure analysis and qualification boards for PWBs.
