Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Manhattan Beach, CA, seeks a Principal Material Process Engineer for EEEE parts and components within the Sentinel program. The role involves coordinating with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure part qualification and traceability.

The position requires a STEM degree with extensive experience in military/space electronics, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and SAP access. Relocation support and a 9/80 work schedule are available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; 0 years with a PhD.
• Experience in military/space electronics design or manufacturing.
• Familiar with the selection and application of EEEE components.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with design engineers in selection and application of Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electro-Optical (EEEE) parts including Microcircuits, Connectors, Passive Devices, and PCBs.
• Create Component Specifications or Source Control Documents to meet Program Requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and Component vendors to resolve qualification, producibility, and test issues with parts and Card Assemblies.
• Review Bill-of-Materials, new part approvals, and part attributes in a Product Lifecycle Management System.
• Support Supply Chain with component procurement requirements, supplier selection, and issue resolution.
• Assist Program Subcontractors with EEEE Part requirements and SDRLs.
