Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in York, SC is seeking a mid-level Materials Planner to support production through material flow, scheduling, and supplier coordination. The role emphasizes collaboration with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams to keep production uninterrupted.

You'll develop raw material and production schedules, manage supplier lead times, and analyze inventory levels to optimize material flow.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 1 year of experience in material planning, inventory control, or production scheduling; or 3 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) to support planning and scheduling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the flow of materials from receiving and warehouse operations to production.
• Develop and maintain raw material and production schedules to support manufacturing requirements.
• Manage supplier lead times and delivery schedules to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams to align material availability with production demands.
