Job summary

Trane Technologies in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to lead a team of Material Planners responsible for scheduling and ensuring material availability to support production.

You will optimize inventory, manage supplier performance, and apply Lean and MRP principles, with Oracle experience preferred.

The role offers on-site work five days a week with a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years experience with planner/buyer manufacturing experience.
• Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
• Leadership experience of 1-2 years highly preferred.
• Experience with MRP systems, Oracle preferred.
• Computer proficient and experienced with visual management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages material planning activity to ensure timely delivery of material to support production operations.
• Serve as an escalation point with Material Planners when Planners are not able to resolve issues effectively.
• Ensure that Planning Team is trained and effectively utilizing ERP tools and company standard work.
• Act as Lean Champion for Materials Planning functions.
• Perform timely, cost-conscious procurement of production/inventory/MRO items.
• From approved supplier list, recommend and select suppliers to fulfill scheduled plant deliveries.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts.
