Job summary

Summit Polymers in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Coordinator, Materials (Customer Service) for 2nd shift to manage materials planning in a manufacturing environment. You will gather, analyze, and respond to customer requirements and forecast information to drive production and shipping plans.

You’ll create and maintain bills of lading, shipping docs, and maintain target inventory levels while coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to meet daily releases.

Qualifications

• Business or related degree or 1 year experience in Materials Planning and Logistics (lean manufacturing).
• Wonderlic Select Assessment score of 50 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor all customer communications for Materials and Logistics procedures.
• Develop daily shipping plans based on customer release and forecast information.
• Create customer required shipping documentation and bills of lading.
• Establish daily production plans in accordance with manufacturing protocols.
• Maintain target inventory levels in accordance with company goals.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to meet release requirements.
• Report customer issues to appropriate personnel and assist in resolutions.
• Follow customer order fulfillment procedures as directed.
