Job summary

MAU Workforce Solutions is hiring a Materials & Inventory Associate for our client in Schenectady, NY. In this role you will support warehouse material flow, inventory accuracy, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating material management activities within the manufacturing operation.

This is a long-term, 18-month contract assignment with the potential for direct hire. Monday–Friday day shift; requires High School Diploma and SAP PowerMax experience.

Qualifications

• Strong background in ERP systems (e.g. SAP PowerMax).
• Knowledge of materials distribution and/or logistics processes and inventory management responsibilities.
• Superior organizational skills and data entry proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Organize and validate incoming work orders and reporting through SAP.
• Create and manage pick tickets, cycle count sheets and standard reports (KPIs).
• Audit, correct, and maintain inventory levels in SAP.
• Troubleshoot production orders, receiving, inventory discrepancies and other transactional issues.
• Assist operations and warehouse teams with order issues, product returns and nonconforming products.
• Determine root causes and assist in process improvement plans.

MAU is hiring a Materials & Inventory Associate for our client in Schenectady, NY. As a Materials & Inventory Coordinator, you will support warehouse material flow, inventory accuracy, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating material management activities within the manufacturing operation. This is a long-term, 18-month contract assignment with the potential for direct hire.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Experience working with modern ERP systems, including SAP PowerMax

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organize and validate incoming work orders and reporting through SAP
• Ability to create and manage pick tickets, cycle count sheets and standard reports (KPI's)
• Responsible for auditing, correcting, and maintaining proper inventory levels in SAP
• Troubleshoot production orders, receiving, inventory discrepancies and other transactional issues
• Assist operations and warehouse teams with order issues, product returns and nonconforming products
• Determine root cause of order/transactions and assist in development of process improvement plans
• Daily response to any front line escalations; either solve or elevate further to MRP or others for support
• Daily audits of bulk material
• Job audits from start to completion
• Labeling of job material
• Assisting in return to stock process
• Working with the warehouse for any issues with picks
• Attend turnovers, L1, and L2 meetings
• Assisting in PI/Cycle Count prep
• Assisting in locating "lost" material

Qualifications

• Strong background in ERP Systems (e.g. SAP Powermax)
• Requires knowledge of materials distribution and/or logistics processes, methods, and
• skills related to inventory and materials management. Superior organizational skills
• Strong transactional knowledge with troubleshooting experience
• Ability to work in an dynamic environment
• Strong data entry and computer skills (Excel, Word, Office, etc.)
• Ability to develop strong product knowledge
