Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking a senior materials planning leader to direct and administer materials management, scheduling and production planning activities at our Conklin, NY headquarters (onsite preferred) with consideration for Rochester, NY location.

You will oversee production plans and S&OP processes, analyze inventory and delivery issues, and provide data to finance. The role requires 8+ years in planning, strong MRP experience, and SAP ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • 8+ years in materials planning, inventory, and warehouse stock control.
  • 3+ years of functional team management.
  • Experience with MRP systems.
  • SAP ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops production plans which respond to forecasted business demands.
  • Responsible to manage the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems.
  • Provides shipping and inventory data to financial management.
  • Develops and/or approves information systems for manufacturing control, order entry, customer service and statistical reporting.
  • Performs other job related duties as required.
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations.
  • Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices; may include budget development and control.
  • Develops workforce planning and utilization programs including overtime scheduling and temporary services.
  • Implements cross-training activities for a flexible workforce.
  • Establishes and implements CSF measurement and progress tracking.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems; assists employees.

This role has preference to be seated onsite at our Headquarters in Conklin, NY, and is also open to considering candidacies onsite at our Rochester, NY location.

Summary:

This role will direct and administer materials management, scheduling and production planning activities, including control of all aspects of inventory for the division.

Principal Accountabilities: (Functional)
  • Develops production plans which respond to forecasted business demands.
  • Responsible to manage the Sales and Operations Planning. (S&OP)
  • Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems.
  • Provides shipping and inventory data to financial management.
  • Develops and/or approves information systems for manufacturing control, order entry, customer service and statistical reporting.
  • Performs other job related duties as required.
Principal Accountabilities: (General Supervisory)
  • Carries out organizational policy and applicable State and Federal laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work and appraising performance.
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces all safety regulations.
  • Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department; may include budget development and control.
  • Develops workforce planning and utilization programs to satisfy actual and projected requirements.Includes the scheduling of overtime and cost/effective use of temporary services.
  • Implements cross-training activities and plans for employees under his/her direction with specific attention toward the development of a highly flexible workforce.
  • Establishes and implements team/individual Critical Success Factors, including the measurement and documentation of the progress of each employee toward the established goals.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work-related problems.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relative field is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in materials planning, inventory, and warehouse stock control.
  • Minimum 3 years of functional team management.
  • Notable knowledge and experience in the implementation and utilization of MRP systems.
  • SAP ERP experience is preferred.
Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality:
  • Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires the ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
  • May have to remain stationary for extended periods, but be mobile enough to navigate through work areas.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and in giving presentations.
